Boot of laguna won't unlock

Hello all. The boot of my laguna has suddenly stopped unlocking. No amount of pressing the key fob will shift it. All the other doors unlock fine - for now at any rate. Do I need to pay a million pounds to get it fixed at a renault dealer or is there a simple way to fix this?
Any help very gratefully received.
Yours hopefully
Rnc

Re: Boot of laguna won't unlock

hi

you can get the boot open, if you can get to the back of the lock mechanism, there is a slot that has a tab in it, use a screwdriver to flick it over and it will unlock the boot.
also try pulling the two black rubber coated switches on the outside off to check for water ingress (from the drain hole under the bottom of the middle of the window) there is an elbow inside that is prone to fal off and allow water to pour into the electric switches and lights.
