burning when fan was on

i have a burning smell and fan pack in the fan is ok but it will not go
Currently in roybid's garage:
2004 renault 1.9ci

Could be a seized blower motor or wiring fault.

the blower is ok i have tested it some one as told me it could be a relay switch

Which model Renault is it and do you have the rotary dial on the dash that gives you 4 speed settings for the fan?

If you have the rotary dial is the fan working on each of the 4 settings?

Often the wiring melts as it cannot handle the current.
