We have a Renault Scenic 2.0 2001 Engine striped and ready to re assemble, how do we set the VVT Timing ?.
Variable valve timing, or VVT, is a generic term for an automobile piston engine technology. VVT allows the lift or duration or timing (some or all) of the intake or exhaust valves (or both) to be changed while the engine is in operation. Two stroke engines use a Power valve system to get similar results to VVT.
Re: Renault Scenic 2.0 2001 vvt how to set the Timing
It's just a case of ensuring that the 'dephaser' pulley is positioned fully in one diection relative to the cam when the belt is fitted. Unfortunately, I can't remember whether it's 'fully left' or 'fully right'
