Renault Clio I - Electronics - Replacing Headlamp

Alright guys. Im the owner of a loverly 96 Clio

Unfortunatly on my front headlight the bloody glass has fallen off. The light works fine and I don't want to buy a whole new unit. Any ideas on where I could get some glass to replace it?

I also seem to have that very common problem of the sunroof leak.

My boot lock also wont let me put the key in it.....I heard somewhere this is a common fault

Also some of the bulbs in the cockpit have gone (fuel warning, clock, lights on etc..) re these easy to replace?

Any suggestions highly appreciated!

morning, unless you find one in scrappy, a new headlight is the only way, £43 from german-swedish, pain in the ¤¤¤¤ to fit though-requires bumper removal, regarding cockpit lights, they're just bulbs in holders, best place is a little independent motor factor (wilco, shelltune etc). I do have a like new haynes manual for the clio for sale, interested?

My bumper had slipped down and a couple of weeks ago i toook it to a body shop place. Since then I thought the headlight looked a bit iffy....think this had anything to do with it? I doubt I could prove it at all though tbh.

My headlight glass has just fallen off too.

It happened to me 2 years ago, probably due to lots of speed bumps where I work. That time I bought a new light and my brother fitted it for me. Not sure that he needed to remove the bumper though.

Did you have any luck finding just the glass?

I have a French car scrappy near me, but I reckon they will try to get me to buy the whole unit ( more money for them ).

If you do know where to get the glass only, I would really appreciate some info,

Bad News buddy, after a fairly intensive search I have still been unable to find just the glass. And unfortunatly your looking at about £40 for a new one. I'm sticking with my home made perspecx for the time being, until I have slightly more funds.

BTW anyone know what to do if the glass is loose? Can you just PVA it back on?
