Odb port laguna 1.9dci (51)

Hope someone can clear this up for me.
I want to but a diagnostic scanner but the all say that they dont work older than 2004. I have read on here that i need to use Clip as there is no odb port. However behind my ashtray appears to be an odb port.

If i have to use clip, where is it found?

Also i have seen clip to odb converter cable.Do they work.

Currently in jonnyb666's garage:
2003 renault laguna 2 1.8 extreme

Re: Odb port laguna 1.9dci (51)

Can Clip is a Chinese version of renaults kit and therefore is not strictly legal. No doubt an internet search will throw something up.
