Grand Scenic, 2.0 dci. Engine mount gone

I have a Renault Grand Scenic 2, 2.0L Dci with 80K miles on the clock.
On start up the engine vibrates considerably and I have been advised that an engine mount or engin support has gone.
Can any one advise on whether this is a big job and approximate cost?

Re: Grand Scenic, 2.0 dci. Engine mount gone

There are at least three engine mounts so without knowing which are faulty it would be difficult to estimate.

Re: Grand Scenic, 2.0 dci. Engine mount gone

My Dealer said about £108 plus VAT for top engine mount which seems the most common failure with at least one hour's labour. Have seen Europarts do one for £66 inc VAT today so half the price and maybe an inde to fit cheaper if it's that one. I was told the techs check this by leaving door open which then shakes alot to quickly diagnose this common fault. HTH

Also saw this post if you feel brave.
