espace has STOP on the dash???

Could anyone out there please help,I`ve got an 97` 2.2td espace and it keeps putting STOP up on the dash every few miles.Any advise would be more than welcome. cheers

Gotta go with espcaed? on this one. The stop light usually lights up along with at least one other illumination, oil or temperature light for example.

hi thanks for the info but there are no other lights showing on the dash when the stop sign comes on. Do all the dash light light up when you turn the ignition on? becasue these on this espace dont.

You'll have to forgive me as I'm going from memory here

On my Lag when the ignition is turned I get the following lights;

STOP
SERVICE
Engine Temp
Airbag
Seatbelt
Handbrake

and probably some more.

I would envisage that you should have at least those above come on when you turn the ignition. It may well be that some bulbs have gone on the dash.

If this is the case I would be seriously concerned that there could be something wrong that needs immediate attention hence why the STOP light is illuminating (obviously this is what you want to know but without the other tell tale light it's impossible to tell).

I assume you have checked all you're levels - Brake Fluid, Coolant etc.....
