Angry Changing Front Side Light Bulb

Hi

Wanting to replace the near side front side light bulb on my Laguna didn't realise it was going to be such a hassle! I have removed the plastic cover and now need to remove the bulb holder which is below the headlight bulb to gain access to the bulb.

Trouble is the manual doesn't tell you how to remove the bulb - am I supposed to turn it or yank it or just give up!!

Anyone know?

Hello and welcome aoqd22.

What year is your Lag?

EDIT; If it's a Mk I, I believe you need to give it a good yank. Probably best to try a quarter turn to boot though. I would go out and check mine but you have to remove the whole unit to get my bulbs out 'coz there's no room after the engine and all it's componants have been put it.

Thanx for the responses I have a 1998 hatchback. I have managed to remove the plastic cover. The side light is below the headlight. You remove the headlight by unclipping a spring but there is no spring for the smaller side light below. as I said in my previous posting all the manual tells you to do is remove the the bulb holder they fail to say how! If you just pull it it will not come you appear to have to do something else.

Arrgh!!

I've just managed to get my hand to mine and you just need to get a good purchase on the thing and pull. There is no turning required. I've got a 1998 Lag as well, by the way.

Hope that helps.
