Question Renault Megane 1 - 1.4 8 valve Valve Clearances
Hi All!

Can anyone let me know if the tappets on my 1997 1.4 Megane are hydraulic or not?
And are they adjustable (making a dreadful tappet noise!)

Hello and welcome to the forum.

The tappets are adjustable,although I'm not sure what system of adjustment is used on this engine.

The clearances (with a cold engine) should be;

Inlet 0.10-0.15mm

Exhaust 0.25-0.30mm
