Renault Scenic 2 - What Happens If The Battery Goes Flat?

Hi there - we've just purchased a 2004 Grand Scenic 1.9cdi and we are over the moon about it. Everything works great - but a little nagging doubt hangs over me that almost everything is electronic - no normal keys, no manual handbrake, all electric windows - which is all fantstic UNTIL it gets a fault or a flat battery!! My question is (from previous car problem with Saab) What happens if my battery is completely flat and i need to get into the car to get something out or to get a tow (handbrake-off sort of thing) with no conventional key - how does one get in the car!!

If your car needs to be towed or car put on a transporter and you cannot release the Handrake electronically if you go into the boot of the car raise up the mats and you will see a small red handle pull this handle out and it releases the rear brakes.

The car then needs to be taken to a Renault dealer to reset the handbrake.

You will see all this info once you get your owners manual
