Renault Laguna II - Broken hazard lights switch

The hazard lights switch in my Laguna has just broken. It won't latch back down in the 'off' position, it feels like something has broken in the mechanism. Do I need to replace the entire module that it's in (hazard switch and central locking switch), or is the switch itself replaceable? Also, how do I got about removing it for repair?

Hi Ray.

I imagine you should just be able to replace just the hazard light switch.

Im not sure how easy it is to replace as I've never done one but I would imagine it would be a case of prising up the whole module your describing and releasing the locating lugs from below for the hazerd switch after taking off the electrical connection.

Might be worth getting in contact with gonescenile on the forum as he is breaking a Laguna.....(look in the for sale section) Failing that get down to a breakers / scrapyard.

Cheers

I was thinking of getting in touch with gonescenile I've found a replacement switch on Ebay for 8+1p&p. Ideally I'd like to get it replaced as soon as possible, as the button is currently held down by lots of sellotape!

Just called the local Renault Main dealer, and they've got them in for 8.24 inc. VAT, so I might as well get it from there!
