Smile recommended oil for megane 1.5dci

Hi all, can anyone give me advice on what oil i should be using in my megane 1.5dci it has now covered 62k on a 04 plate, and is due a oil change this week, can u let me know what oil type is best for the engine.

Hi,

The manual says 'only diesel engine standard ACEA B3/B4 oils' in the range 10W40 - 10W50 or 5W40 - 5W50 or 0W40.

You should not use 0W30, 5W30 or 10W30

Should have added that most people like to go for either semi or fully synthetic, but the fully synthetic can be pricey depending on your budget!

Hello, i would use a good quailty 5W40 fully synthetic oil, and a Genuine Renault oil filter, regards Damian.
Currently in DJC013's garage:
