Has anyone any experience of fitting Thule roof bars on a new shape Renault Trafic please?

I recently got my new van and am spending many a happy mortgage payment making it my own!!!

I love it, hence WIKOTO (Wears it's knickers on the outside aka SUPER VAN)

I have spent many years working in the motortrade, mainly motorsport and had the accompanying cars, bikes etc. Now having lost my street cred I needed a vehicle that would transport the dog team and sled, rig, canoes in summer, tents, caravan etc. And I'm ashamed to say I LOVE it, 3000 miles in the first 2 weeks and NO back ache. Side effect to be noted as well, have you seen the amount of duty free you can fit in a crew van trafic and still take a change of clothes???

ANyway, anyone know about Thule roof bars?? I have a snow race on saturday and no way of getting the sled there at the moment!!

Hello mate. Welcome to the forums. Sorry about the lack of responses, but we are a bit lacking in representation for the Trafic. One of our members asked me to look into this and I have approached a couple of Trafic owners clubs and the like but they have not even replied to my emails

If you know any other Trafic drivers, bring 'em on board!

I was worried about fitting the Thule roof bars onto my new Trafic as the instruction called for the help of an approved body shop and the removal of the headling

Anyway after some further digging (as it seemed a little extreme as after I'd found the step-ladders and clambered on up there, there seemed to be some lovely brackets already in place...).

Anyway I now have the CORRECT brackets coming tomorrow which are bolt on..

So if anyone needs the info;

Renault Trafic SWB Low roof 2006 model year

Thule roof bars rectangular (Aero don't go large enough) 1500mmm +
Feet part number 751
Adapter part number 3009

With this system all the usual Thule accesories will fit, ski carriers, boat, board, cycle, boxes etc.
