i used to have a 1.4 clio on which i had to have the map sensor replaced. the main symptom was quite bad hesitation when accelerating after changing gear , that's really all i can remember , hope it's of some help to u.

The MAP sensor can give various symptoms, but as Glennspeirs rightly says,it is mainly on acceleration as the throttle is opened that causes the problems, usually by way of quite a violent hesitation.

What have you changed/illiminated so far Linux44?.
