Scenic II, how to remove centre part of dashboard?

Hi everyone,

Just got rid of my Vel Satis and replaced with an 05 Scenic II Privilege 1.9DCi, and it great!!

Anyway the only thing wrong with it is that one of the air vents in the centre of the dashboard is broken and I need to get the whole piece off to have a fiddle round and try to fix it. I realize that I have to take out the radio, and that the top bit just prizes away from the dash but the bottom part seems to go in behind the bit that sticks out where the gear stick is.

Has anyone taken this apart before? I don't want to start attacking the dashboard with a flat screwdriver unless I know which parts I need to mess with.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
Currently in jamesyboy5593's garage:
Scenic II 1.9DCi Privilege, Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo, VW Eos 2.0 TFSI DSG, Gilera Nexus 500 scooter.
