Can you manually lock laguna 2 boot?

Laguna key card has broken, I now know how to fix it, but only have one card at the moment and need to be able to lock the whole car till my dad who is elelctronics engineer can come down an fix it. Have manually locked all car doors and can use key in card to lock front passenger door, but cannot work out how to lock boot, so car is still not secure....can anyone help?

Quick answer is No, you can't Not manually anyway. Makes sense I know!

The way to do it is this:

Don't maually lock the car doors.

When leaving the car close all the doors.

Open one of the rear doors and lean in and press the button on the centre console to lock all the doors and boot.

Close the rear door. This doesn't work if the front doors are open, it'll just trip the system and unlock again, has to be done through the back door.

To get back in the car just unlock the passenger door via the emergency key.

We have tried this method of manually locking the car but the boot does not lock, has this happened to anyone else or is another fault with the car? We have already purchased a replacment keycard at £95 but Renault are saying that the car immobiliser will not recognise the new code when they go to re-programme the new key, they want another £65 to put it through a diagnostic machine. Any suggestions?

This worked for me. It seems obvious in retrospect but in the rain and dark I followed the manual's instructions to lock the doors by turning the manual lock inside the door, which doesn't help with the hatchback lock.

have same problem with keycard.....remove keycard open drivers door press lock on centre consol wait 5 seconds close drivers door... all doors including boot should now be locked....to open just use emergency key in passenger door.....been doin this for 12 months coz i,m not paying renault £180 for new keycard plus programming
