Haynes Motor Museum Trip

Over the last few days I've been in contact with Haynes Motor Museum with a view of gathering a group of Renault Forum members to visit. If you've never heard of it,heres a link to their website giving details of what they have there.....

http://www.haynesmotormuseum.com/museum/index.html

I've been a couple of times but not for a few years,I can definately recommend it,they have a wide variety of cars and there is plenty to do there for the whole family. It's very easy to find, just off the A303 near Yeovilton.Theres also the Fleet Air Arm Museum just down the road, this is quite expensive though and whilst worth every penny I would leave this down to individuals to explore if they so wished.

If we get a group of 15 or more people for Haynes we get a discount of £1 off of the entrance fee, they will also give us the option of reserving a space in the car park in front of the museum so we can all park together, although I would guess that this is for clubs that own more interesting cars that can be displayed for people to look round.....and it might not be a great advert for a Renault forum that some of the cars won't be Renaults..There is also a test track there although it is expensive to reserve and I think that maybe this is something we could do in the future rather than at the first event.

Anyone who is provisionally interested (no definates are needed yet) then please add your names in this thread and the number of people that would come in your group and a preferred rough date that you could make.I hope to organise this for the summer,May through to September sometime so any weekend around that time would be great.

Although I've put this in the Regional section,if anyone is wiiling to travel down and meet up at the museum then they are very welcome to come along of course.

I'll leave this open for a month,if we have enough names then I'll contact them again and we can arrange it properly. They do have a number of events through out the year which we may or may not have to avoid, they quite often also get various clubs arriving as part of a run which can add to the day, this is pretty much pot luck though as one day it may be the Lamborghini Nutters Club, the next it may be the Morris Marina Beige Cardigan Club....

Please post away.....
