Laguna(98) Air con & computer display

Just bought a Renault laguna 2.0 Executive, on an R plate (1998).

Loveley car and everything, and very impressed with what came with it. (so much better than the primera we have just replaced)

But it has a few little problems and i hope someone can help.

The first is the Air Con, in the centre of the Air con controls is a small display, showing the temp and the strength of the fan. the display is hardly readable (unless you get really close to it, which is difficult when driving!!). At night if you have the interior light on, again it is hardly readable, but if you switch the interior light off (which you would assume would make it easier to read) the display disappears completly.

The same can be said about the comuter display, at night with the dashboard lights turned up to full, you can just about read the display, but during the day, you can hardly see it. (the rest of the dashboard is fine)

The last problem is the airbag light is constantly on, now we have driver and passenger airbags, so not sure which it is refering to.

So is it possible that i just need to replace the bulbs/led lights for the air con and computer or is there alot more involved in this?

Note i am not a car expert, i'm one of these people who looks under the bonnet and after 5 mins confidently declare that it is an engine.

so if it is a big job to do, i will probably end up taking it to a garage.

Many thanks in advance.
Currently in holfrar's garage:

Definately sounds like the bulbs have gone. I had this on my old lag1, took about an hour with the Haynes manual to complete.
