Blown bulb warning

I've just noticed last night that a sidelight bulb out on my 2004 Lag Initiale. With all the toys on it I'd have thought there would be some sort of warning on the dash. Should there be, does anyone know? I know I could look at the handbook but I'm at work without the motor at the moment with not much to do!
Cheers

Re: Blown bulb warning

should report a fault the moment you turn on the lights as there wont be a voltage drop or increase in current on the faulty bulb.
02 privalege reports if any bulb fails, so far had NS side light and rear number plate light bulbs fail and generate alerts, usually with big SERVICE flash up on the screen.

Had this the other day & was really worried, looked expensive to fix, as have the silly woman's voice turned off, if you just press the little button with a face & semi-circles it should tell you which bulb it is.

Re: Blown bulb warning

Right, I'm probably going to be really thick here but not to worry!
Just checked that the sidelight wasn't working, then put the card right in the slot, started the engine and turned the lights on. No warning flashed up anywhere. I don't have the voice synthesiser button as shown in the handbook but it's got built-in satnav so I turned the volume up on that in case that was where the voice came from, but still nothing when I switched the lights on. Where is the little button with the face and semi-circles? I'm would be starting to think the car hasn't got this feature but an Audi mechanic who I got to do a little job for me last year told me I had a rear light bulb blown as it had flashed up a warning. Like I say, I'm starting to feel like a right thicko!!

Re: Blown bulb warning

Mine's an 53 plate Privileged & has the voice jobbie on. In the speedo pod under where the odo is there is an LCD panel which sometimes has a Renault badge on, it's the one that goes up through the checks when you first switch on. When a bulb goes in my car it says SERVICE in orange.

On the right hand side of the dash level with the starter button but other side of the wheel I have 2 buttons, the top one is teh face with semi-circles, if you don;t have that sorry I can't help.
