Question replaced camshaft sensor, coil pack, high tension ignition lead and still trouble

Hi everyone I'm new to this so please be gentle..my car ( renault megane '98 1.4 rt) started giving me trouble a few weeks ago...it wont start after lying idle overnight. the firsy time it broke down I called breakdown assist they said it could possibly be camshaft sensor, the mechanic i brought it to agreed the same so he replaced the sensor and bingo car was going again..next morning same problem it would not turn over, called the mechanic out again and he said replace coil pack so done that and replaced the high tension ignition lead as well after replacing these the car ran brilliantly...this morning tried to start it and again same problem it would n't turn over..my dad came over to have a look ..he pressed down the excelerator and the clutche pedal at the same time as turning the key in the ignition and after a few splutters and revs the bugger started up..i'm delighted that it is running today but uncertain about whether it will start tomorrow!! has anyone any suggestions as to what to try next? my heads wrecked buying parts..many thanks for any help..

Re: replaced camshaft sensor, coil pack, high tension ignition lead and still trouble

hi , from reading the posts the car does not turn over when the fault happens ?
if so get the starter motor solenid wire terminal relaced. or it may be the stater itself. your mechanic may have already checked this ?

Re: replaced camshaft sensor, coil pack, high tension ignition lead and still trouble

Hi,
Have you or your mechanic tried to clean the flywheel sensor situated on top of the gearbox. If not remove and clean you could also check the resistance should be approx 250 ohms. This also may help, have you changed the exhaust silencer? or checked to see if the baffles have failed or partially blocking.
Hope this helps you, Liam
