Lightbulb Martyboi's DIY welding cart build

The cart build has officially started today and so far is going to plan.... but theres plenty for me to fudge up yet
Anyway.. onto the design, with lack of space being the main issue, i don't want a mahoosive cart taking up loads of room so i have tried to make it as compact as possible.
Went a bit oldschool with the design process..... no CAD here (don't laugh trust me it's better than the first draft)

don't know if the welder will live on the top or bottom shelf yet, going to see how stable it is first

I'm just using 25mmx25mm 1.5mm wall box section for the frame, and probably some 25mmx3mm flat bar for some shelf supports (might use box, haven't decided yet) hopefully this will do the job.

And i got some heavy duty 100mm castor wheels

Set up the miter saw and got chopping

This is the sort of finish it leaves, Ive never used one before so have nothing to compare it too, but i was impressed.

All chopped up

Now for the bit where i just pray it all fit's together?

And it does

Then i made sure the wheels would fit

And i got some ally tread-plate for the shelfs, and tried that too.

Quite relived it all fits together right TBH Ive got to do a bit more practicing on some scrap box before i feel comfortable welding it all up, but hopefully it will be sometime over the weekend
BTW it will have some sort of handle, but I'm waiting to get it together to see where i want it.
