Mot Advisory

hi

purchased a Laguna 98 reg 1.6 RT today , got a one yr mot with it , noted on the advisory the following:

(1.2.4a) Front Sub-frame corroded but not seriously weakened

(2.4.G.1)Front Subframe mounting prescribed area is corroded but not considered excessive

not knowing too much about cars , is this something to worry about ?

I intend to let my garage look at it , just wondering how urgent / what needs to be done with this?

cheers

Re: Mot Advisory

nothing much to worry about or it would have failed the mot, but best to get the car on a set off ramps and wire brush the rust, treat it with a product like hammerite k-rust, paint with some sort off top coat (i.e. normal hammerite) then paint on some under seal.
