angel Eyes - Clio how do they fit ?

Hi there,

i am currently looking to replace my tired looking headlamps on my 99 mark 2 clio with a pair of angel eyes but have no idea how to do this.

the ones i am after will no doubt not come with instructions so can anyone shed any light on how to get originals off and put angels on?

I have read somewhere that there is extra wiring involved and that it is not a simple one for one,

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

many thanks,

Ian.

Re: angel Eyes

Are you looking at replacing the whole headlight or adding the angel eyes into your current ones?.

I fitted some aftermarket 'add-ons' to an E36 BMW a few years ago and they were a real pain to fit and gave nothing but problems.I suspect the complete headlights with them already fitted in would be a much better bet although decent quality ones will be reasonably expensive,be very wary about cheap eBay units......

Re: angel Eyes

yeah this job is easy enough there is three bolts holding light in if angels you bought are led there is useualy a wee wireing loom comes with them if there dodgy lights you need to start to splice wires the halo bit of light works on side lights and centre is dip and full beam etc remember each led needs a live and earth to work most of them the earth bit is already sorted for you . hope that helps

I have CCFL rings fitted in my E36 standard headlights, they took a couple of hours but were relatively straightforward and have worked fine. I think you must have had a dodgy set?

I suspect with a Clio it is easier just to buy new headlamp units with the LED ones already fitted

Re: angel Eyes - Clio how do they fit ?

Thanks for all the replys,

the units i am after are the ready made ones with the rings in etc etc that will completley replace the current headlight.

i am under the impression the bulbs connect to the current bulb holders but am unsure of the actual rings, under the impression that i have to wire them into the sidelights somehow.

anyone have any ideas,

many thanks,

ian
