Angry limp mode - 2001 laguna 1.6

Hi all,

i have just bought a laguna and it is stuck in limp mode. the light on the dash says it is an electrical fault - when i opened the bonnet i can see the car has had a new throttle body (so i dont think this is the cause) from reading the forums i have cleaned the ecu and this has not worked either.

any help would be good as im not having much luck with cars at the min.

thanks

Did you buy the car knowing it was stuck in limp mode or has the problem only arisen since?

That's the risk you take when buying at an auction - maybe someone else was just selling their problems on.
On some models the throttle body needs to be reprogrammed to the ECU otherwise it just operate sin default mode. I may be wrong but I would suggest you have the fault codes read to see what comes up.
