Question Renault Scenic 2 brake discs and pads

Hi,

I'm a proud owner of Renault Scenic 2 1.9dCi from 2005 and soon I'll have to change brake discs and pads. I have an really nice offer for Delphi discs and pads so could anyone tell me are they any good? And what about Textar?

thanks in advance

Re: Renault Scenic 2 brake discs and pads

Welcome to the forum.

I can definately recommend Delphi parts,I've used them many times without problems in the past.I've never used anything from Textar, but looking at their website they seem to make a number of O.E brake linings, especially for HGV's,so they certaintly sound OK.

Re: Renault Scenic 2 brake discs and pads

I am no expert on brake discs and pads but its always best to stick to manufacturer approved parts. Now renault don't actually make brake pad / discs. They are made by another company (maybe delphi) for renault and renault puts their label on the box and sells it as a genuine renault part which obviously the non renault version made for renault is the same. Sometimes a non renault part can be cheaper but not always.
