Megane faults !!

Just picked up a Megane 1.9 dci 120 with no owners manual and it has a few niggles, can anyone help ??

1. The interior lights located in the doors do not go off when the vehicle is being driven, is there a switch somewhere to do this ?

2. When parked engine off I can select any gear easily but when moving its hard to select 5th and almost impossible to get sixth, any ideas ??

3. My passenger electric window only goes up in 1" movements, can the windows be reset ?

All help and answers greatly recieved

Re: Megane faults !!

in answer to #3, if you hold the button down until the window reaches the bottom and then hold for 5 -10 seconds then do the same on the way up and hold it for 5-10 secs it should reset

just for clarification, take the window down in the 1"increments until it reaches the bottom, Then hold the button for 5-10 secs and then the same for going up.

Re: Megane faults !!

Turns out the switches in the floor cubby holes were dirty, cleaned them up, lights go out fine now .

Tried the window reset thing, window goes down now okay but still only going up in increments of 5cms, starting to wonder if I need a new regulator cable

There is a guy on fleabay selling repair kits for 20, thinking about getting one.

Re: Megane faults !!

The stepped window is default programming when the battery has been disconected.
If the switch holding solution doesn't work you have either a rear regulator fitted on the fron window of the regulator is wet inside / faulty.
