The light behind my mileage/clock dial on my Renault Clio Alize T reg has stopped working. Is it just the bulb that has blown? Halfords offered me 3 types of bulbs but I have no idea which one it is until the old one is taken out. How on earth do you replace the bulb? I cannot see a way of getting the old bulb out.

You have to remove the steering column shroud (2 bolts) and the dashboard (bolts in vents base of windscreen, left and right side of dash, open doors for access and under steering column shroud). Then a sharp jolt rearwards should do the trick if Ive remembered all of the bolt locations. The bulb is one of them mini types, turn 45 degrees to remove, that is shrouded in plastic, very common in instrument lighting.
