Re: Trafic 1.9 sluggish-no power

Nice one, thanks for the update.I've moved your thread to the Van Articles section now it's fixed, hopefully it'll help someone else out in the future.

I've had to replace a few Boost Pressure Solenoids on Trafics in the recent past, they seem to be a reasonably common complaint now unfortunately.

Re: Renault Trafic - 1.9dCi Sluggish/No Power*FIXED*

Hi all
Would this boost solonoid cause the following problems?
04 19dci trafic
Starts first time every time
Hot or cold very little power until 2000rpm ish when turbo kicks in then loads of power as normal.
No faults showing on dash but not had a code reader on yet to see if anything stored.
Changed Maf with a new 1 but no better.

If the answer is no then suggestions are welcome.....even one's that entail petrol and matches!

i had the same fault, but it was a small rubber pipe connecting to the back of the air intake that had snapped, this is connected to an electronic sensor mounted just under the windscreen, got a new pip for 2 and problem gone.

Re: Renault Trafic - 1.9dCi Sluggish/No Power*FIXED*

Hi i have a trafic 1.9 DCi and yesterday it started playing up.
The van keeps going into limp mode and it only seems to be when going up hill. If i stop switch off and leave for 5 mins it goes again ok until i hit a hill again. I am also getting the glow light coming on.

Any help appreciated as i cant afford a big garage bill at the mo. Can take the van to my local mecanic but have spoke to him on the phone already and he is lost with it.

Can anyone suggest things to check and i will get him to check them and if you know were these parts are i can even have a look myself.

Thanks in advance Andy

Re: Renault Trafic - 1.9dCi Sluggish/No Power*FIXED*

Update!!
The dtc light has now made an appearence along with limp home mode power.....stranage thing is if i dip the clutch to allow tickover revs the light goes off!!
Used a maxidiag fr704 reader on it and code's p1400 and p1401 came up along with refer to service manual!!
Can't find any reference anywhere as to what the code's are so over to you boys.....
