scenic rebuilt by monkeys

hello my girlfriends scenic snapped the timing belt, so a pal who makes a living from cars tryed to fix it, after a month i towed it here. it had 16 new valves fitted but would'nt run, no compression, the sides of the pistons are cracked said the monkey i was landed with the job of fixing it on removing the cam cover i noticed the inlet cam was out 180 degrees, both cams look the same and the only markings are part numbers the inlet has 1024722527 and the ex has 1c24504528 can anyone tell me if this is correct or have the monkeys mixed them up. i took the head off to check the valves, none were bent but mostly all were leaking, the monkeys had made an attempt to grind them in using molegrips on the end of the valvestems! cheers i'm away to fit more valves.
