renault scenic 1 exhaust support?

I had a new exhaust on my scenic about 6 months ago , I now see that there is a large crack where the pipe meets the middle box , this seem to have happened because the box has fallen down and the pipes to front and back are now at 20degree angles from it, should there be a support bracket mid way to avoid this happening , as there is not one present , thanks.

hi which point is there the crack.

exhaust is made up of:
exhaust manifold, down pipe, catalytic converter, mid box, back box.

fittings are:
sprung loaded bolts between manifold and down pipe, down pipe and CAT are bolted together, there should be a renault sleeve fitting that fits between the CAT and midbox, joint between mid and back boxes is a compression clamp.

support hooks are on the mid box and back box.

please look at attached picture and advise if there is something missing here , thanks , also could you please include photo if there is a bracket missing so I can locate/replace , thanks.

if its broken on the CAT itself, then take it back and get it changed under warranty!!!(have you still got the recipts ?)
it should not break there, support is from the manifold and on the mid-box/back-box.
was the CAT replaced then? or just the mid and rear boxes??
an exhaust franchise will insist you replace the CAT (at over £150+), a good indy Garage will weld it back together (and be a lot cheaper(£20-30ish)

Took it to a local garage who said that the metal was as clean as a new exhaust so welded it up. It cost me £5 PARTS, £25 LABOUR AND £5.50 TAX SO £35.50 IN TOTAL , looks like a new exhaust , confirmed with mechanic that it shouldnt have a support and may have been bouncing due to a bad weld , and not as I had originally thought that it was bouncing due to lack of support , thanks for advice all .
