Ball Joints for Master van

Hi all.

Just wondering has anyone ever fitted ball joints to a renualt master van .I believe you can buy the ball joint separate and press it in to the wish bone ,rather then buying the complete arms which are rather expensive.
Currently in linde1's garage:
renualt master 2.5 x70

Hi,

Welcome to the forum,

If its the case you can change the ball joint in a Renault Master?? then if its like other Renault models? it can only be done once!! then you have to buy a complete arm,

If you look at the ball joint itself on the under side???if it has a small indent on the outer edge than that normally points to being changed before and if thats the case then its a new arm iam afraid,

Hope this helps Donald
Currently in Donald's garage:
2005 Mercedes Benz C200 Classic SE Kompresser & 1998 Fiat Cinquecento Fire Sporting, some may say i could do far better?,i say i could do far worse.

Re: linde1

What age is the Master?.

I've replaced 'a few' top and bottom joints on Masters/Movanos around the 2003-2005 mark and they have had to be pressed in and out of the top and lower arms. The one problem on these is that the lower arm is held in by a pin, this pin can seize in place and this can complicate the job massively.I have still changed the joints in arms where the pin has seized, but it involves a large socket and an even larger hammer and it's not for the faint hearted!.
