Re: cat How Many?

As far as I know there is only one cat and is would cost no-where near £500 for a cheap replacement.
Currently in Lagdti's garage:

Re: cat How Many?

Euro Car Parts list a cat for your car for £172,you'd have to use your reg number on the site to make 100% sure that it is correct though.

Re: cat How Many?

hi
£500 for a CAT for a mk1 ??????
they are taking the micky!!!

im about to break my 97 1.8RT (on the driveway next week) which should have a fitting compatable (1.6 and 1.8 have same diameter pipes) aftermarket ECO-CAT (ceramic calalyst).
(theres also a twin pipe REMUS SS sports back box

i do also have the old original Renault(bought 2005, replaced 2008) and still in good condition) METALIC-CAT in storage, though it does need a little bit of welding done on it, as the numptys that removed it to replace the corroded downpipe bolts nicked the downpipe end flange plate with an angle grinder.

the scrap metal value(platinum) of the original catalytic converter (metalic ones only, is over £45)

both CAT's are in perfect working condition, with no damage to the catalysts.

eco-cat = 35 (rrp was 75)
met-cat = 60 (rrp was £250)
collect or courier(15)

if you are getting yours done at the garage, dont forget to ensure you get recycle value money back on it(or keep it and reycle it youself), its easy pocket money for the garage...
