Possible Espace ABS Pump Problem

Hi,

Have plugged in my trusty code reader and have had the following codes appear:

ABS:

1. 10D (memory) - pump motor circuit, permanent control of pump motor or open circuit.

1. 10D (memory) - pump motor circuit, no rotation of pump motor.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to whats wrong or this means please?

Thanks

Re: Possible Espace ABS Pump Problem

As an addittional thought, to my knowledge this has only come on since the brake switch under the pedal was cleaned up after brake lights were found to not be coming on whilst depressing the pedal. Could this have any consequences?

Re: Possible Espace ABS Pump Problem

As both of the codes are in the memory rather than present at the time of the code read,do they clear and then come back at all?.

Re: Possible Espace ABS Pump Problem

Hi Lagdti,

I have cleared the two codes and the only one to reappear is the:

1. 10D (memory) - pump motor circuit, no rotation of pump motor.

But this alternates between active, memory and not reappearing. As far as I can tell the brakes work fine, but any tests you could reccommend and the expected outcomes or telltales of faults would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Possible Espace ABS Pump Problem

Ps. None of the warning lights/screens have lit up about an ABS fault, but I am sure they do work as they have alerted me to other faults.
