megane fuse box ???

Hi im new and have a 1996 megane 1.4 rt and the fuse box has a break in the circuit board but i have been told to change the fuse box i also have 2 do ecu and key is this correct ?

Hi B3z, i'm afraid this is correct - The 'ECU' and 'UCH' (Part of the fusebox) on this vehicle are "paired" and you'll need these plus the IR/RF plip keyfob that is sync'd to the UCH. You don't have to go as far as changing the key "blade" and lockset though.

If you do this you will obviously need a matching set from a single doner car of the same age and specification.

Providing the spec is the same then yes but if you've got dual optic lights and the doner car only has single optics, or AC vs Non-AC the UCH is gonna be setup for options that you don't have and will cause problems.

ok ive been scrappy got a ecu exactly same numbers fuse box but this vehicle did no have the black pick up between the sunvisors so i open the key to find a chip inside so i took the ring from round the steerin wheel fitted all this to my vehicle and ive got my hazards and everythin back but still no start flashin ecu light now ???? is there nethin else i have to change
