vivaro black smoke problem

HI CAN ANYONE HELP OR ADVISE ME OF WHAT TO DO WITH MY VIVARO VAN (APART FROM SET IT ON FIRE!) IVE HAD AN RE-CON ENGINE PUT IN A FEW MONTHS AGO THATS THE BLOCK AND HEAD, ALL OTHER COMPONENTS ARE FROM PREVIOUS ENGINE,BUT HAS HAD NEW EGR VALVE AND TURBO PUT IN, NOW WHEN STARTING IT FROM COLD OR EVEN AFTER HALF HOUR OF DRIVIN IT A HUGE CLOUD OF BLACK SMOKE WILL POP OUT
THEN SLOWLY CLEAR UP BUT WHILST DRIVING IT STILL APPEARS UNDER HIGH REVS AND SEEMS LIKE HASNT GOT FULL POWER BUT STILL DRIVES OK. ANYONE KNOW WHY??? THANKS

I have a 2005 Vauxhall Vivaro I have the same problem with black smoke check there is no air leaks from intercooler pipes and make sure the small pipe from the intercooler manifold housing which goes to the Turbo boost sensor located R/H side of engine bulkhead is totally clear mine was blocked (rubber pipe and brass connector) this reduced smoke and increased power loads as I was towing my caravan to campsite struggled up every hill cleaned pipe out at campsite and flew home. Still some smoke under load but 75% better.
