As it was only my tailgate lock that was affected and I was quoted +400 to replace it, I decided to run a new 12V feed from the cigar lighter direct to a new 12V switch which I managed to click into the existing tailgate switch.
The tailgate now opens but I need to insert the key card into the slot before it will open.On leaving the car the tailgate opens until the car is locked .I could have spent more time looking for a feed which operates with the key card but it's fine the way it is.
I took a local Earth from the tailgate.
cost about 10 compared to 400+
You have a slightly more serious problem with the window/door
Are you sure it's the multiplex module? have you jump started the car recently?
I have exactly the same problem and my car has failed it's MOT because the boot will not open. Please could you tell me how you created the new feed. It seems very clever, but I have no idea where to start. I have the Haynes manual with the wire diagrams but that's about it.

Thank you very much.

I actually took the easy route and took a feed from the front console cigar lighter, this meant that the key needed to be in the ignition to open and close the boot but I was happy with that.
It was pretty easy taking the boot panel off and running the cable under the carpet.
I used a local ground cable next to the lock and just ran 1 cable for the feed .
You may take more time and find a power source which is active when the doors are opened
Good luck

Hi, I have jump started my 2005 scenic and now just the tailgate solenoid does not get a feed to open. From above looks like I've damaged the interior multiplex module? But what and where is this please?? Can I not dismantle and repair it? Thanks

FIXED !!!!
Thank you so much to all those that subscribe to this excellent site. My 2004 grand scenic tailgate and rear fog lights had stopped working after incorrectly jump starting after flat battery. Removed UCH took apart and found 'fried' 100 ohm flat pack IC resistor which grounds the four VP750 power mosfet switches. (See a post about same by someone else for excellent description and pictures). Soldered on replacement resistor using magnifying glass and now all working correctly.
