Scenic 2007 Car Alarm keeps going off

I am new to this website, and forum, so please excuse me. I have searched the forum, but found nothing that can help.
I have had my Renault Scenic 07 Dynamique for about a month. Everything has been fine, but just today, the car alarm keeps going off.
There is nothing for it to go off, no cars going past, no heavy rain or cats jumping on it. If I leave it unlocked, it locks itself after 30 secs or so, and then will go off.

Can someone help? Not sure what I am going to do about it tonight!! Think I may have to call Greenflag...

My uncle has the exact same issue which has driven him so mad he just doesn't lock the car anymore.

Been with Renault 3 times, who say nothing is wrong.

As a temporary measure you can deactivate the alarm. When you've turned the engine off, open the drivers door (so all electrics switch off). Without inserting the card, and no feet on the pedals, press the start button 5 times in succession. Then get out and lock it. You'll hear a few beeps to indicate the alarm is inactive.

It's not a long term solution, though, as it needs done every time you leave the car!

Just tried that, but unfortunately it did not work. I lock the car and the alarm goes off about 30 seconds later! Only had the car about 2 months, it is under warranty so will ring the garage tomorrow.

It is normally the sensor under the bonnet that causes the problem.
