I think we could do with some pics of this..sod it to the ones that ran you down over the stag..would be a clever person who never ever bought a duff motor in their life..so start a new thread entitled my mini..:driving:
Hi Phil, after the stick i got from certain people when i had the stag i thought i'd keep this under wraps, it's a '86 mayfair with 11,500 miles on the clock & it's bloody mint.
I purchased it with the money i got from the Stag, it was up for 8,000 & i got it for 6,000 spent another 1,500 on stuff that needed doing as it had not been driven for last 4 years.
Take it to shows mainly & keeping it genuine.
Yes bit of a shock for me as well because he said nothing about his health deteriorating and I'm sure he would have..if there is a way to get in touch with me I'm sure he will find it remember he had my address from my house photo so where there is a will there is a way..if he does then I will let you know for sure..
Its not been officially reported..was reading a thread and noticed Roy's name was pale and banned user was underneath..so I checked the ban list and my heart and stomach sank I like Roy and I think for some like myself he will be missed..it must have been very bad for this to happen I guess..
Been working for a young couple decorating their brats bedrooms, 3 different wallpapers & paint ceilings/woodwork - finished today & gave them the Invoice, when i tallied up the hours it only came to 37.5 so i rounded it up to 45 £910 thank you very much
So to answer your question - I'm good thanks mate, hope you are well.:d
Not quite as simple as that. History lesson:- Black plug used to do everything, "spare" pin was used for +12 supply. Along comes EU MUST have Hi Vi fog lights on Caravan / Trailer AND Vehicle fogs MUST go off when trailer plugged in. Last pin now used for that. So.................No option but to have another socket (Grey one) That has Earth, Charging, Fridge power (when engine running) & a feed to power the Caravan from the tow car should the caravan battery be flat.
Just come in from playing with the wiring, ALL the interior lights left by AA work now & the spot light under the tailgate, ideal for hitching in the dark. Reversing sensors purchased, beeper run through the body into the cab, fit rest tomorrow when it's dry. Tailgate isn't tinted but has got a Van Guard steel perforated grid thingy. Off to consult Haynes re an original wire I found which isn't connected to anything & then to update the Ex AA trafic thread, in case the OP ever returns.
Morning Ralph, just waiting for light to carry on, Kin windy. Didn't want Crew couldn't get the bikes in. Will look like crew soon, bloke 7 miles away does privacy windows for £115 per side, stop me looking like a pikey at caravan sites. Black wire prob wrong colour +12v for caravan charging. Rain forecast for 10:00 till 14:00 catch you later.
Tailgate, like the drizzle guard, think it'll be useful tomorrow
Totally agree with carpet or got some Vinyl tiles in stock.
Haynes came before the Van did, thanks for the offer.
My prob is that Haynes doesn't cover the AA wiring. May do a post later, in the ex AA trafic thread.
Sounds good Tim, Ply lining is always a must & a nice piece of carpet too.
Has it got Tailgate or barn doors.
If you need to know anything mate i have a Haynes manual
Looked good till about lunchtime. Spent AM cleaning the oil out of the back, put front on ramps to swill it out. Just about to take it off ramps, FLAT TYRE. Had to have a new valve fitted. Then spent rest of PM tracing the old AA wiring & reinstating some of it to get hefty power feed in the back to run Inverter & Ham radio Gear. It is insured now, just waiting for 1st Jan to tax it & then I'll tell you how it is. Very tidy in the cab, R.send awaiting a ply lining kit to finish the tidy up.
Thanks for asking. Should see a few grumpy & smile posts, no doubt. :d
