Ex Rental motor from the dealers, 3k on the clock so I'm the first private owner and it was so stupidly cheap to buy, for what it is. So basically it's a safe and reliable (hopefully) car for me and the kids to run around in. Nothing fancy, and it is cheap to run.
2015 Vauxhall Astra (Summit White)
1.4 liters of raw power. LOL. Around 100bhp, which is nice enough and is certainly one of the most powerful cars I have ever owned! But the Astra is a heavy car so it's not quick. Not at all. However it's VVT - wind her up above about 4500 revs and suddenly it has some powerrrrrrrrr. In all seriousness... The 1.4 has enough of poke, but lacks a bit in mid range punch. This means changing down a gear - it still catches me out but I'm getting used to it.
Car mats, proper dealer ones! (does that count?) And a magic tree!
None. Although I'd like to change the front DRL's to the cooler looking LED ones, but that will **** with the car's "canbus" self checking gubbins etc etc and cost me more money than I would ever want to spend. I really don't want to spend money on it - it is a car and that's all. (it's a domestic appliance as far as I am concerned!)
Standard Bosch/Vauxhall head unit with USB/aux. 7 speakers though and it sounds good for an OEM system.
Wheel and Tire
17" SRi rims with some Goodyear somethingorothers on. This is the first car I've ever owned with matching tyres all round!
