Having just had a fail on MOT for both lower wishbone bottom ball joint dust covers being split, I decided it would be easier just to replace both arms. This turned out to be a wise choice because 1) i dont have (at home) anyway to remove / press out bottom ball joint and 2) I found the rear...

Hi, I have a problem with my grand scenic, and it is now a huge nuisance! Right last year I had the wishbones replaced because of clonking that gradually got worse and worse until it was really loud. It was eventually making a loud DUNK on either passenger and drivers depending on which was I...

Hi guys Just replaced front wishbones and dropped the front subframe. The wishbones are in and ready to be torqued up. Usually i do this with the car on its wheels and the hayne says to do so. However to do this the front half of the subframe has to be off to access the front wishbone bolt...

I've recently replaced the struts/springs in my Modus Dci. I've now developed a knocking from the offside which leads me to think the lower wishbones are on their way out. Has anyone replaced these? it seems that the bolt that holds in the front joint of the wishbones is impossible to get out...

Laguna mk1 with 160,000 on clock steering feels loose, last MOT advised worn ball joints. Looking at forum it appears it might be cheaper option to replace whole wish bone re: with ball joint and wish bone bushes already fitted / new. Is this reasonable do-able? Do you need a special tool...

I have a knocking noise coming from the front of my laguna 2, it sounds like the O/S. It only occurs when im going over bumps. The car has just gone through an MOT and i have replaced both lower suspension balljoints and track rod ends so i can rule them out straight away. I would assume if it...

Spent the whole day trying to change one of Hugo's wishbones today. It didn't go well. My 19mm socket exploded when I was trying to undo the wheel bolts... Should have seen it as a sign of what was to come. After a lot of swearing, we managed to change the anti roll bar link, which were an...

Front wishbones and ball joints are shot on my wife's 1993 1.4 RT Auto. Anyone know where the best place to buy replacements from please. From the prices I've been quoted, they are more expensive than my Vx Omega ones, paid £55 for genuine ones, Clio seem to be about £80 per pair.
