Hi, I have a 2006 1.4 diesel megane, (none of whose electric windows work, but thats besides the point) Last night the fuel level sensor stopped working and despite me putting £20 of diesel in just after the warning light had come on continued to drop towards the totally empty, the digital readout shows nothing but the time for fuel logo.
Is there any way i can identify if this is a mechanical or electrical fault, and if so, can i access the sender unit myself to change it if necessary? Any ideas on how much the cost of repair might run to?
I have checked all the main fuses and all are in working order.
Any suggestions (besides a litre of petrol and a match) would be welcome!
