hi guys just a quick message. i own a laguna 2 1.8 extreme on an 04 plate, it doesn't have a 12v socket in the armrest or in the back of the centre console. is the wiring for them already built into the loom i.e is it a case of just plug and play. or will i have to make up a new loom and feed from the cig lighter in the ashtray?

many thanks

Its probably best to run a new cable (with a fuse at the battery end) to wherever you need the new socket.

Hi rooky1, if there is a blanking plug for the unit, remove it or the trim and have a look, the chances are the harness is already there, it really makes little sense now days for manufacturers to have multiple wiring looms for cars, maybe just 1 or 2 instead of one for each model ...

Hope it helps :)

The loom will probably be there. Whether it's live or not is a different matter. If you find the connector, check it out with a 12v test screwdriver or a multimeter. If you get a voltage across the contacts, then it should just be a case of 'plug and play.' :)

yes near enough all renault looms now come with all connections for all model types on new cars. and like said previously it makes sense to only make 1 loom
