I have a 1998 Renault scenic that i replaced the gear box and put in new rear engine mounts, now i have put
the car back together but the engine wont start, i have checked the fuel, spark plugs, ect. has anyone got any ideas as to anything else it may be.

Does it turn over with the key

Does the immobiliser light go out

Yes it turns over with the key and the imobiliser light does go out?

You might have damaged the wiring to the TDC flywheel sensor.

Is the replacement gearbox code identical to the old one?

Which engine is this?

Yes the gearbox code code is the same as the old one
