A couple of days ago the external temperature display in my Clio started showing nonsense temperatures - 53 DegC for instance. Y/day it dropped to 23 but this morning it's back up to 40.

And I'm not in Dubai, but Norfolk.

Doesn't look as though it's switched itself from centrigrade to Fahrenheit as those temps don't really make sense in F either and the display still says DegC. I don't know if the car's even capable of displaying F temps.

So presumably the external sensor on the underside of the nearside wing mirror has failed.

Any comments on diagnosis and suggestions on replacement gratefully accepted.

Thanks folks.
