i have a problem with a stuck window. it is the drivers window is stuck closed, when i operate the switch the motor is going but wont move. iam hoping it is just the cable as come off somewhere any ideas?
i have seen a detailed explination of how to remove the door panel with pictures on the forum but cannot find it now, if anyone can polnt me in the right direction it would be appreciated

I have the exact same problem it sounds.... I joined this forum especially to find any clues on it. Any responses to your post??

got it sorted, the cable had jammed in the motor and snapped, not to hard to get out, remove the door card by removing the screw in the door release catch, handle and two at the bottom of the door, ease off the card starting at the bottom, then remove the multi plugs fitted to the window switch, mirror switch and speaker, then remove the inner window sponge, undo the three nuts holding the motor in place the the two bolts holdin the guide rail towrds the outer edge of the door. you now need to drop the windo so you can get to the plastic clip that holds the window in place this removed easier if you twist the white bit not the yellow. it should the come away from the door and remove the multi plug from the motor it took me just on 3 hrs including going to 3 scrapyards to get the part
the best tip i can give is at the scrap yard break the window far easier to remove the retaining clip when you get home connect the multi plug and operate the motor so that the yellow clip is near the bottom of the runner (makes it easier for fitting the glass)
