Hi All,

Car: Renault Laguna Sports Tourer Privelege 1.9dCi '52 plate.

Had the car 2 months used every day with no problems (albeit the clutch pedal has stuck to the floor once requiring pulling back up). Then I go to start it this morning, all normal start-up procedures OK (diesel pre-heat and 'START' messages appear) hit the start button, engine turns but does not fire. I repeated this process several times but to no avail.

Has any one got any ideas on this? Could it be a relay for the glow plugs or fuel pump?

There's about 2/3 of a tank of fuel and there was no warning of impending glow-plug failure so I'm thinking it must be something electrical...?

All other things seem to be OK: -
Keycard works and immobiliser allows engine start
No warnings on instrument panel/screen

Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Mike.

You could check pump is running.

Get someone or yourself to stand at rear of car whilst card is inserted and listen if the pump runs , will run for a second or 2 then stop/pulse once preasure is reached.
