hi...hope someone can assist please.

noticed that my clutch is getting heavy, so took it into my local garage. In his words he said that it was the 'fingers' in the clutch that only have about 10% wear left and that it would be about £500 all in to fix this. What are these 'fingers' and do you think this is a fair price (apparently it's 6 hours work)???

The fingers are basically, the fingery looking things in the middle.
£600 for a clutch change is a bit extreme, try a local clutch specialist, i would think you could half that price

thanks for the reply. so, to get my facts straight (being a TOTAL novice) when i'm ringing round for prices i'm basicially asking for a cost for a replacement clutch??
