hi im looking at this car being sold on and the problem that the seller has told me is that he

"had to pull car over due to a trail of white smoke then tried to re-start the car but wouldnt so had to call break down service, got turbo tested and it needs a new one so realy not sure if there is anything actualy wrong with the engine as the timeing belt is ok."

can anyone give me advice soon and how much would this cost to repair??????

It's worth no more than generous scrap money really unless you are 100% sure what is wrong with it.
Think how much you're willing to pay to have another engine put into it, messing around time, and knock that off the asking price!

I'd say that there's another issue besides turbo failure. The car should still start (as mine always did) even with a failed turbo, as the turbo isn't needed until a certain rpm is reached.

I would leave it, unless it is VERY cheap (£500).
