The battery would drain overnight and the relay in the top left corner of the glove box fuse panel was running very hot - any idea what it's function is - Can't find it in Haynes. Pulled the relay and battery drain is down to .2 volts in 24 hours. All systems seem to operate normally. Any ideas?

The engine is the 1.9 diesel.

Check the glow-plugs aren't getting a constant voltage supply with the ignition off and the car locked.

See post #1 - when the relay in the fuse panel is pulled, the battery drain stops. What does the relay control? Can't find the info anywhere.

As suggested above. The relay could be for the glow plug timer ?

Stopped by a local dealer today and he said "may be a fan relay" ???????? - pretty poor after I told him as far as I could tell all things were operating normally.

Did the dealer inspect the vehicle?

No, they didn't inspect. Pretty staight forward though - The question was - What is the relay on the fuse panel in the glove box of a 2004 Scenic used for? (and there is only one relay on the panel).
