Hi,

I have a 2005 Renault scenic and water is coming in from behind the glove box somewhere and sitting in the storage compartment in the passenger footwell. The problem only seems to occur when it is or had been raining and when you turn the blowers on. I have checked the coolant level over the last few weeks and it is not going down. Ant ideas would be much appreciated.

The most likely problem is due to blocked drains in the windscreen scuttle panel. They are prone to becoming blocked with leaves and road debris. So before hauling off the wheel arch liners check the holes in either corner of the area under the scuttle first. In most cases a clean out or a few pokes with a stiff piece of wire and a flush out the problem can be cured. This is a fairly common problem and not just on Renaults.

Also follow links on here for changing air filter this will show you how to remove the plastic box section under the wiper arms (simple job) this usually fills up with leaves.

Thanks for the response. it was the scuttle drains that were blocked. no problems since they were cleared.
